Q For this assignment you will submit a draft of your research project research paper. This draft should be an extension of the first paragraph. The paper must include both the "they say" literature review, data collection analysis, "I say" and conclusion. Do not forget to include the works cited. You will submit the draft by Friday, and then review a classmates draft by Monday. Example Outline: • Introduction o Topic sentence that captures attention o Why the topic is important o Clear focused research question o Methods o Thesis Statement • Body o Summary of "They Say" literature review ? Main conclusions drawn from your analysis • Conclusion o Summarize findings o Restate thesis o Identify limitations to the research o Identify possible avenues for future research • Bibliography/Works Cited • Appendix o Service learning component o data tables/graphs/diagrams etc STEP 2: The term paperer peer edit will allow you to receive and provide substantive feedback on your rough draft for and by your peers. The peer review is unanimous, so if you do not want to be identified do not write your name on the paper or in the comments. There is no length requirement for the review, but the more you provide the more comments you will receive and the more the exercise will benefit your writing. After you submit a rough draft you will be assigned two student papers to review. There is a grading rubric for you to use. You will give the paper a number from 1-5 for each area and provide written comments in the text box for each. For directions on where to find the review and complete the assignment watch the video below. You will be randomly assigned two peer paper's to review. Use the rubric and leave helpful feedback. Review is completely anonymous as long as you don't put your name on the submission. This is an opportunity to improve your papers before they are due, please provide constructive feedback. Example Good Feedback: 4/5 The research question is clearly stated but seems very broad. 3/5 The thesis statement is easy to identify but does not directly answer the research question.
